Books
Keys to Parenting Your Anxious Child (Katharina Manassis M.D.)
This book is a fairly easy read for parents. It is full of concrete and realistic examples of situations you may be struggling with with your anxious child. It goes on to give practical suggestions of how to deal with them. I highly recommend this book as a great starting place for empowering yourself and supporting yourself with some of the parenting struggles when helping your anxious child.
What to Do When You Worry Too Much: A Kid’s Guide to Overcoming Anxiety (Dawn Huebner Ph.D.)
What to Do When Your Brain Gets Stuck: A Kids Guide to Overcoming OCD (Dawn Huebner Ph.D.)
I like these workbooks for their imagery and practical tools. They can give you a language and reference point to talk about anxiety in a non-threatening way with your child. I believe they can be used reading and working through them together with your child.
